Need help now

You are in the right place. We just are not open yet.

We start in Salt Lake City in late 2026. That does not help you tonight, so here is who can.

If you are in danger right now, call 911.

These are free. They are open all night. You do not have to explain everything, and you can hang up whenever you want.

If you are having a really hard time, or thinking about hurting yourself Call or text 988 Someone picks up. You can text if talking is too much.
If someone at home is hurting you 1-800-799-7233 Or text START to 88788. They can help you figure out where to go.
If you left home, or you are about to 1-800-786-2929 The National Runaway Safeline. They will not make you go back.

If you are in Salt Lake City

You need somewhere to go today, and you are 15 to 22 801-364-0744 Volunteers of America Utah, Homeless Youth Resource Center. Showers, food, a caseworker, and help finding a bed.
You need something else, like food, a doctor, or a lawyer Dial 211 A real person helps you find it. Free, any day.

What we will have when we open

A class that teaches the stuff nobody taught you. Money, apartments, job interviews, how to handle it when things go wrong.

A dinner once a month with adults who actually answer their phone later.

And help getting into an apartment, if that is what is standing in your way.

You will not have to prove anything happened to you. No paperwork about your worst year. We will ask what is going on and whether we can help.

Want us to call you when we open?

Leave whatever you are comfortable leaving. You can use a nickname.

Before you write anything

Amber reads these. Nobody else does.

We will not tell your family, your school, or your caseworker that you wrote to us.

One exception, and we would rather you hear it now than find out later: if you tell us that you or another kid is being hurt right now, the law says we may have to tell someone whose job it is to step in. If that happens we will tell you first. If you want to talk about something without that risk, call 988 or 1-800-786-2929 instead.

A phone number, an email, whatever you check.
